Finding Housing in Stillwater

It is awkwardly difficult finding a place to live in a city (or state for that matter) that I've never been to in my life. Plus, I'm juggling the notion that I "should" get a roommate to split the cost of living. Even though I know next to no one here right now, I am stretching myself to find a decent roommate. Maybe I can get in touch with someone entering the Nutritional Sciences M.S. program too? Maybe someone looking for a roommate will pan out and I'll be able to make it by in that living situation? Maybe I should just fork out the $$ to get a single bedroom apartment? Who knows...

Regardless of how this living situation plays out, there is much to look forward to in Stillwater. I can't wait to lose myself in the M.S. program at OK State **nutrition nerd alert**. I can't wait to "Cowboy Up," hit up some country-style partying, and meet some great people who share my interests and aspirations. This new environment should be a fun backdrop to an education that I have been looking for ever since I realized that I wanted to further my studies, specifically on the subject of sports nutrition.

I am somewhat concerned over this "Tornado Alley" designation that Oklahoma gets... Hopefully that doesn't come into play while I'm there. Other than that, it should be damn interesting to take my bike onto the flat country roads of Oklahoma and check out some new wildlife around those parts.
